Brand development, in the fast lane.

I worked side-by-side with the tiny team at True Wills to bring their idea of a Greek motorbike tour company to life. It started with brand development, moved on to web copy and tour writing, and finished at full throttle.

Background

The two friends and co-owners at True Wills had a dream for a business, a couple of ideas for motorbike tour routes, and a domain name. After being recommended to them by another client, they reached out to me to help give their fledgling business an identity they could be proud of.

Solution

After laying brand foundations, True Wills and I worked closely to turn their dream business into a rip-roaring reality.

Brand Imagery Revamp

Graphic Design Integration

Content Curation

I started with competitor and audience research, and used the findings to define their brand identity, USP, and tone of voice. We decided to put adventure, local insights, and community at the heart of their branding.

We built an attention-grabbing homepage and, following keyword research and search intent analysis, wrote website copy that balanced SEO with vivid descriptions of Greek motorbike adventures too good to resist

Drawing on my own passion for travel (75 countries and counting), I then turned their rough itinerary notes into tour descriptions designed to get feet itching for adventure and hands twitching for the throttle. Those two tours – The Arrow of Artemis and Trial of the Olympiad – were heavily stylised with Greek mythology and positioned in the Goldilocks middle point of epic challenge without the faff.

Results

• True Wills had a successful launch and a great first year of business

• They ranked at the very top of Google for their target keywords: ‘Greek motorbike tours’ and ‘Motorbike trips in Greece’

• Jernis, a larger travel startup, read the tour copy and hired me to write a dozen tour descriptions for their own tours.
